Harambee Stars captain Aboud Omar has revealed his dream team, sidelining his previous favourite team, Real Madrid.

Aboud Omar has enjoyed spells in the Kenyan Premier League and abroad, and has since disclosed the clubs he would like to play for if an opportunity arises.

Aboud Omar started his career at Admiral in the second tier of Kenyan football and was later loaned to Kenyan Premier League club Bandari. In 2013, Abud Omar joined Tusker FC, where he won the 2013 Kenyan Super Cup.

After two years at Tusker, Aboud Omar signed with Greek club Panegialios in August 2015 and made his debut in a 0–0 home draw against Acharnaikos. He appeared 15 times in the league.

In 2016, Aboud Omar joined Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia, before later signing with Belgian club Cercle Brugge in 2018. He left for Sepsi OSK in 2019, and then signed with Ionikos Nikeas in 2020.

From Ionikos Nikeas, Aboud Omar joined AE Larisa in 2021 and returned to the Kenyan Premier League in 2022, signing with Kenya Police FC.

The 32-year-old still has dreams to continue making a mark on the international stage if an opportunity arises.

Despite having enjoyed stints with international clubs, Aboud Omar has not had enough of it, and in a recent interview with CGTN Africa, he disclosed that he wants to either join a club in Egypt or South Africa.

“Before, I would say Real Madrid, but right now, I would say either Sundowns, Pirates, Zamalek or Al Ahly,” Aboud Omar revealed.

Meanwhile, Aboud Omar also opened up about Harambee Stars' chances in the ongoing African Nations Championship.

Being the team’s captain, Aboud Omar expressed confidence about the team doing well and hopefully getting to the final of the tournament.

Harambee Stars have already had a great start to the tournament, winning their opening match against DR Congo, thanks to a strike from Austin Odhiambo.

Harambee Stars will face off against Angola in their next match scheduled for Thursday, August 7 and led by Aboud Omar, they hope to make a mark.
