Harambee Stars Defender Reveals Who He is Spoiling with His Ksh2.5 Million CHAN 2024 Bonus
Harambee Stars players have each boosted their bank balances significantly after President William Ruto made all of them millionaires with his CHAN 2024 reward scheme.
The President announced a Ksh1 million bonus for every group stage win and Ksh500,000 for a draw and so far, Kenya have won against Morocco and DR Congo while drawing with Angola, to earn each player Ksh2.5 million.
There is still more as the Head of State promised to give them Ksh2.5 million each if they beat Zambia on Sunday, which could potentially take their group stage earnings to Ksh5 million in total.

With the first stash of Ksh2.5 million having been offered to the players and technical staff, Harambee Stars captain Abud Omar is not struggling with where to spend the money.
Who Will Get a Big Share of Omar’s Bonus?
“Spoiling my dad because he is the one who raised me and he deserves it,” Omar told Mpasho.
During the interview, the left-back also disclosed how he has experienced a change in fortunes, revealing that his first salary as a footballer was Ksh12,000 and now he is Ksh2.5 million richer from just three matches played in a few days.
Omar also hinted at possible frustration with many requests for favours from people who now want a share of the cash even though they are not close to the players.
Harambee Stars started their CHAN 2024 with a 1-0 win over DC Congo, followed with a 1-1 draw against Angola before beating Morocco 1-0 last Sunday.
They can finish top of Group A with a win over Zambia on Sunday although they are already assured much more after sealing their ticket to the quarter-final.
