Ouma, who was drafted into the Kenya squad for their upcoming friendly games against Madagascar and Senegal in Turkey later this month had an otherwise impressive individual display, earning a 6.7 individual rating on Sofascore.

Ouma registered a 73 percent passing accuracy and produced one shot on target. Off the ball, he made four clearances and won the ball back two times.

Lech Poznań Collapse After Promising Start

The Polish giants looked in control during the first half at the Estadio de Vallecas, silencing the Spanish crowd with two well-taken goals before halftime.

Luis Palma opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing off a neat move after an assist from Joel Pereira. Their advantage doubled in the 39th minute, when Antoni Kozubal struck to make it 2-0 — a scoreline that left Rayo with plenty to do heading into the break.

However, the hosts came alive in the second half. Isi Palazón halved the deficit in the 58th minute, capitalizing on defensive lapses from the visitors to spark belief among the home supporters. The pressure intensified as Rayo pushed forward relentlessly, and with just seven minutes of normal time remaining, Jorge de Frutos restored parity at 2-2.

The turnaround was completed in heartbreaking fashion for Lech in stoppage time. Álvaro García found space inside the box and drilled home the winner in the 94th minute, sealing a remarkable comeback and sending the Vallecas faithful into jubilation.

While the defeat leaves Lech Poznań’s European hopes hanging in the balance, Ouma’s steady performances have not gone unnoticed.

The attacking midfielder, who continues to grow in stature since his move from Nairobi City Stars in 2022, has shown glimpses of the creativity and tactical intelligence that made him one of Kenya’s most promising exports.
