‘He has my full support’ - Oliseh backs Eguavoen to lead Super Eagles to glory
Eguavoen joined the Super Eagles as the interim coach following Finidi George’s resignation earlier this year.
Since his appointment, he has given the Super Eagles a new look and has gone on a winning streak in the qualifiers.
Although he lost his last qualifying game to Rwanda, but had already secured qualification to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Oliseh gives Eguavoen his support
Oliseh has commended Eguavoen's leadership and called on Nigerians to support him as he discussed the difficulties the Super Eagles are facing in their pursuit of qualification.
Oliseh said to News Central, “Austin Eguavoen is a smart guy. He is not stupid. And I also want to say that he has my full support.
“Because he is somebody I respect a lot. He is somebody I struggled with, bringing glory to our fatherland.
“He is an honest and decent guy. Furthermore, he is my compatriot, so he has my full support.”
Oliseh had good words for his former Super Eagles teammate and has given him his full support in the team.
