'He has the ability' - Diego Simeone hails Barcelona coach ahead of fierce clash

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has heaped praise on Barcelona boss Hansi Flick ahead of their Copa del Rey semi-final tie.

Speaking to reporters, Simeone credited Flick with having a significant impact on Barcelona since his arrival in the summer.

"I think that the strength of this Barça is the coach. He has the ability to transmit to the players what he is proposing. I think that the arrival of Flick has done Barcelona a lot of good," Simeone said.

Simeone also expressed his admiration for Barcelona's playing style, acknowledging that his team may have to endure a tough night at the Camp Nou.

"I really like the way the opponent plays, they have a strong defence with that high line they maintain," he added.

The Atletico Madrid coach emphasised the importance of being prepared to suffer during the match, citing their recent encounter against Real Madrid as an example.

"When you face big teams, there are times when you have a bad time and you have to prepare to suffer. There will be good and bad moments, as happened against Real Madrid. You have to know that in the same match there will be different moments," Simeone said.

The winner of the tie will advance to the Copa del Rey final, where they will face either Real Madrid or Real Sociedad.
