"He had an offer of €36m in the winter, but he did not accept. Tango is played by two. We’re still together, unless he wants to leave."

Right now, Fenerbahçe sit second in the Turkish Süper Lig, five points behind leaders Galatasaray, who have a game in hand. If Mourinho were to leave, there’s no doubt the “Special One” would have plenty of suitors, with clubs in Saudi Arabia, Italy, and England reportedly keeping tabs.

For now, though, Koç’s focus is on backing Mourinho to deliver success and keep Fenerbahçe on the path to greatness.

The Nigerian striker has scored 33 goals for the Turkish league leaders this season and his future remains uncertain, with several top clubs believed to be keen on a transfer.
