Christensen recognises Bellingham quality

Christensen signed for Barcelona in 2022, helping the Blaugrana win the LaLiga title in his first season at the club.

However, a new season has brought fresh challenges, as the Blaugrana face a daunting task to retain their league title, especially as their main rivals Real Madrid have unearthed a gem with one of their latest signings.

English midfielder Bellingham joined Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund for a British record fee of €130 million, including add-ons, and has so far lived up to the billing with a number of spectacular performances.

Bellingham ‘has conquered La Liga’ — Christensen

In his first 10 matches for Real Madrid, Bellingham has scored 10 goals, and assisted three more, making him one of the most in-form players in the world at the moment, and Christensen revealed that he was gutted to see the England international in a Los Blancos jersey.

Speaking during the international break, which will end just one week before El Clasico, the Barcelona defender was quoted by DarioAS as saying, “It’s annoying when you sit down and look at the results he’s getting.

“He’s been scoring in the last few games, I don’t know in how many games already. He’s conquered La Liga. Real Madrid have brought in a really good player.”

Despite his admiration for Bellingham, Christensen will still believe that his Barcelona side can overcome Real Madrid when they face off on the 28th of October, looking to regain the top spot in the league.
