Defending champions Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory away at Burnley in the fourth round of the English Premier League on Sunday.
Liverpool legend, on commentary duty for the Burnley-Liverpool Premier League clash, witnessed Arne Slot substitute Milos Kerkez in the 38th minute.
The Hungarian international defender struggled against the newly promoted side, and after receiving a yellow card for simulation, the Dutch manager opted to remove him to avoid further risk.
Carragher slams Kerkez
Carragher was quoted by liverpoolecho.co.uk, via Sportal, "Credit to the referee as well. He was very quick and in a very good position to see it, Michael Oliver," he added.
"I think it was a simulation, without a doubt. I don't think anyone in the stadium would have thought otherwise; it was so theatrical. It was complete nonsense."
Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Arne Slot has admitted that the Reds were 'lucky' to snatch a late win against Burnley.
Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool needed a late Mohamed Salah penalty to snatch 3 points against Burnley at Turf Moor.
