The star in question? Sadio Mane. The Senegal international joined the Faris Najd after Cristiano Ronaldo. The move was necessitated by his failure to thrive at Bayern Munich; however, there have been reports he seeks a return to European football. 

As Pulse Sports reported, he is not lacking suitors either, with Turkish league leaders Galatasaray and Serie A’s Inter Milian the two front runners for his signature

However, given his contract expires in 2026, Al Nassr want a fee for his transfer. Mane is on big wages, and while he will expectedly take a pay cut, the balance, plus the transfer fee has stalled the progress of any approach. 

With Boniface's signing close to being official, after Florian Plettenberg announced a full agreement had been reached, Al Nassr now have one more star forward and this could mean they are more willing to negotiate for Mane’s sale.
