How much each Ugandan player will earn for winning the CECAFA U18 title
Following their triumph over Kenya in the CECAFA U18 Championship final, the Ugandan youngsters will smile to relatively healthy cheques from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
Uganda edged Kenya 2-1 in the final to the championship at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Kisumu, on Friday.
Batiibwe Okello and Hakim Mutebi shot Uganda to the triumph, while Syphas Owuor Otieno scored Kenya's consolation.
Upon reaching the feat, the FUFA Executive Committee member Rogers Byamukama, who represented President Moses Magogo, assured the squad of USD. 1000 (3,600,000) each.
"The message from the president is that when you go back, each of you will have 1000 dollars on your account," Byamukama said.
FUFA EXCO Member @rogersbyamukama delivered the President's message to the Uganda U18 National Team after winning the CECAFA U18 Boys Championship.

"FUFA is proud of each of you, and we're looking to build a team as we gear for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations."
The bonus to the players comes as a massive motivation as they continue to get moulded into future stars for the senior national team.
While Uganda smiled to the title with Kenya coming in as runners-up, Tanzania clinched bronze while Rwanda came fourth.
