Following a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final tie, Bayern Munich remains firmly in contention for the Champions League trophy. 

Muller highlighted the team's belief in their ability to secure victory, stating, "We're in a good mood; we are not playing perfect but we are playing better."

Reflecting on Bayern's narrow victory over Arsenal in the quarter-finals, Muller praised Laimer's tenacious efforts to contain Odegaard, which lifted the squad's spirits and instilled confidence. 

He shared, "This winning feeling, it gave us a little bit more belief in ourselves to be a bit more aggressive in the last few weeks."

Manager Thomas Tuchel also acknowledged Laimer's contribution, specifically highlighting his role in neutralising Odegaard's influence on the pitch. 

Tuchel stated, "Of course we defended against them in the block, but Konni really stuck to Odegaard, played half a man-marker role."
