'I am disappointed' - Nasarawa Amazon captain reflects on narrow defeat in NWFL Super 6

Bayelsa Queens edged Nasarawa Amazons 1-0 in the NWFL Super Six, securing their first win of the tournament at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Bayelsa Queens survived an early scare from Nasarawa Amazon's Odo Bibiana. Her shot rattled their crossbar but Bayelsa Queens held firm. The first half ended goalless, but a late-game surge brought victory.

Substitute Mercy Omokwo's long ball found fellow substitute Anjor Mary in the 90th minute, and she converted the chance to snatch all three points.

Reacting after the game, the captain of Nasarawa Amazons, Mathias Josephine, said, "I'm disappointed we couldn't get a goal despite the efforts by the team, and I feel very disappointed."

The midfielder stated she will be in talks with the team on how to improve their performance.

"I'll talk to them both on and off the pitch to improve our performances," she stated.

Nasarawa Amazons will be seeking their first win of the competition when they face Rivers Angels on Wednesday.
