The President’s message came just minutes after the team lifted the trophy, marking their seventh overall title and extending their unbeaten run in Afrobasket to 29 games since 2015.
Tinubu set to repeat Super Falcons feat
With the invitation, President Bola Tinubu might want to repeat the celebration he gave to the Super Falcons of Nigeria's women, where he promised the team $100,000, a 3-bedroom apartment, and a national honour.
The Super Falcons defeated Morocco to win the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which marked their 10th title.
Also, the Governors forum added 10 million each to the player as each member of the technical crew received $50,000 for their crucial role in the team's success.
