I am NOT ashamed of being rich, I work for my money — PSG star Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is one of the world's highest-paid athletes, earning a reported 100 million euros a year.

The France captain has been constantly linked with a move away from PSG, with Spanish side Real Madrid considered favourites to land his services in the summer.

The PSG man, aware of the conversations surrounding his future and current wages, has defended himself, insisting he deserves everything.

"The truth is that I don't know exactly how much I earn" Mbappe replied to Elise Lucet (via Marca)

 "When I was 12 years old I also thought that in soccer there was too much money. 

"I deserve the money I earn. I didn't steal it from anyone. That's the way the world works."

PSG are reportedly preparing a world-record offer to keep Mbappe from moving to Real Madrid at the end of the season, an offer that would make the 25-year-old even richer than he already is.
