'I am now a mother' - Super Falcons star Ngozi Okobi welcomes new Baby

Super Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi has announced the birth of her child. The former Elskiltun of Sweden player shared the news on social media on Tuesday, September 16th.

She posted several photos of her baby bump and expressed her gratitude to God for safe delivery.

"Congratulations to me. #godbepraised #iamamother #newmom. I am in my new season #NSPPD," she wrote.

Okobi kept her pregnancy journey private, sharing only occasional glimpses of her gym sessions and other casual pictures on social media.

The midfielder has represented Nigeria at numerous international tournaments, including the U-17 Women's World Cup, the WAFCON, the U-20 World Cup, and the FIFA Women's World Cup.

However, she was notably absent from the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup squad and has not returned to the national team since then.

She married her husband Okeoghene in 2017 and continued playing football for several years before the arrival of her child.
