Naturally, Barcelona’s hierarchy has reacted to their major rivals signing one of the best players in the world, as they prepare for life against the France national team captain.

Laporta addresses Mbappe move

Laporta expressed disappointment at seeing one of the best players join the team’s archrivals, saying, “As Barça fan, it’s not good news to see Mbappe to Real Madrid.”

However, he was adamant that he did not regret missing out on signing the French striker, choosing to rely on Barcelona’s academy talents.

Laporta added, “But to be honest, I prefer our strategy to trust a project with players produced and made in La Masia. I respect our rivals but I keep our Philosophy.”

Barcelona have enjoyed the benefits of their academy in recent years, relying on the talents of players like Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, and Fermin Lopez for the first team.
