‘I know the quality’s there with Kelechi’ – 2-time Premier League winner excited to play with Super Eagles star

Kelechi Iheanacho’s career has hit turbulence in recent months, but former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is backing him to bounce back at Celtic.

After a difficult spell at Sevilla that ended with his contract being terminated, Iheanacho now has the chance to reignite his career in Scotland under Brendan Rodgers.

“My quality was there and I know the quality’s there with Kelechi. It’s just if he wants to be in the room, whether he wants to put it in,” Hart added

While Iheanacho was left out of Nigeria’s recent World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, a consistent run of performances for Celtic could change his fortunes.

Hart believes that with commitment and focus, Iheanacho could find “a special home” in Glasgow and rebuild his confidence.
