The captain of the Hungarian national football team, Dominik Szoboszlai, has reacted on his social media after his teams narrow defeat to Portugal.

As widely reported, Hungary suffered a 3-2 defeat to Portugal at the Puskás Arena on Tuesday in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot to beat Messi's World Cup record after matching it a few days earlier.

Speaking after the game, as reported by Sportal, the Liverpool star commented on the game on his Instagram page.

"We've just come through two emotionally charged matches, and I feel there was more in it for us than just one point.

"I take responsibility for my part in this, but from start to finish, we fought as a team, we battled and that's something we can build on for the upcoming games. Thank you for the incredible support; we'll be back in October!
