What Morata said

Morata, 32, joined the Cim-Bom on loan during the January transfer window as a replacement for the injured Mauro Icardi. Like Osimhen, the ex-Real Madrid star has caught the Cim-Bom bug, falling in love with the club and their fans.

He has also formed a partnership with Osimhen, and when both players are not combining on the pitch, they are lauding each other's abilities off it—or like in the clash against Eyuspor, ensuring the other gets deserved plaudits like Osimhen did, pushing Morata towards the chanting fans.

“Osimhen is a great person and one of the best centre forwards in the world,” Morata said about the Nigerian, per Sport Digitale. “I hope we will all celebrate the championship together. This is an incredible country; my family is very happy here. I want it to continue like this."

While Galatasaray are working hard to keep Osimhen beyond this campaign, the likelihood is currently low, given the finances required to complete the deal.

According to Nexus Sports, Morata told the club's hierarchy, "If you don't replace Osimhen, I'll stay at Galatasaray,” underscoring his willingness to step up and take the mantle.

Galatasaray's Osimhen plan

Osimhen currently has a €75 million release clause in his deal, a fee Napoli are unwilling to negotiate. While the amount is significantly higher than anything Galatasaray have spent on a single player, the Cim-Bom are reportedly working on sponsorship deals to enable them to reach the figure.

However, football analysts in the country like Oguzhan Ozyakup believe Galatasaray can find a good striker within the €15-20 million range instead of splashing big bucks on the Nigerian ace.
