In a breathtaking display of attacking football, Çaykur Rizespor secured a resounding 6-3 victory over Göztepe in a Turkish Süper Lig fixture at the Çaykur Didi Stadium.

The match, which turned into a nine-goal spectacle, saw Nigerian star Ibrahim Olawoyin play a pivotal role in Rizespor's triumph, further cementing his status as a key figure in the team’s campaign.

Rizespor took the lead early in the 11th minute when Danish left-back Casper Højer Nielsen found the net with a well-placed shot.

Göztepe responded when Romulo Cardoso, equalized in the 26th minute.

However, Rizespor regained the lead just six minutes later in the 32nd minute, with Ibrahim Olawoyin firing a clinical shot past the Göztepe defense to make it 2-1.

The first half remained a back-and-forth affair, and Cardoso struck again for Göztepe in the 45th minute, scoring his second of the match to ensure both teams went into the break level at 2-2.

Just five minutes after the restart, in the 50th minute, Ali Sowe put Rizespor ahead.

Rizespor continued to dominate, and in the 62nd minute, Altin Zeqiri added a fourth for the hosts.

Göztepe refused to go down without a fight, pulling one back in the 77th minute through defender Koray Günter.

Nigeria’s Babajide David scored the fifth for Rizespor, restoring their two-goal cushion, before Zeqiri netted his second of the night in the 87th minute, sealing the 6-3 scoreline with a late strike.
