“I’m fasting for Lent NOT Ramadan” - Bukayo Saka’s Nigerian girlfriend reveals

Tolami Benson, the beautiful girlfriend of Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has opened up on her spiritual life amid speculation about her religion.

This Sunday, the UK-based influencer took to her Instagram page with nearly 40,000  followers to clarify to her followers having earlier posted a photo on her story revealing she was about to break her fast.

She wrote: “To clarify...I'm fasting for Lent, not Ramadan. It's a personal choice for spiritual reflection and growth. Wishing everyone observing Ramadan a blessed and peaceful month ahead!”

Lent is a period of preparation for the Christian feast of Easter.

In Western Churches it begins on Ash Wednesday, and it is usually observed in the Catholic, Lutheran, Moravian, Anglican, United Protestant and Orthodox Christian traditions, among others.

On the other hand, Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer (salah), reflection, and community.

Pulse Sports previously reported that Tolami Benson is of Nigerian descent, having been born into a family of Afro-British.

However, no information has been made clear of her parent’s identity, although, she is believed to be related to Coco Benson, who is a Swiss Nigerian singer-songwriter and wife of popular record producer Shizzi.

Bukayo Saka who is also of Nigerian descent too has been known to be in a relationship with Tolami since 2022.

The Arsenal star and his girlfriend do not follow each other, however, he has always received massive support from Tolami since their relationship began.

She is currently followed by a number of Arsenal WAGs  and she is frequently seen matches and supporting the England star from the stands.
