IMC in talks to bring thrills to NPFL Super 6, plans to unveil Nigerian artistes
The Interim Management Committee (IMC), the organizer of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has revealed that there are plans to thrill the fans with live performances from Nigerian music stars for the Super Six playoff championships.
Pulse Sports reported that the playoffs will start on Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
Enyimba, Remo Stars, Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars, Rivers United, and Bendel Insurance will compete in the NPFL playoffs.
Expectations are high from Nigerian football fans
The Head of Operations of IMC-NPL, Davidson Owumi, acknowledged that expectations are high from fans of Nigerian football.
"We are aware that expectations are very high, that is why we hit the ground running using the current abridge
league as a test case and ensuring that we put in all the necessary measures to uphold transparency. For example,
indemnities of match officials and other critical stakeholders connected to the league are being administered seamlessly, using international best practices as our guide.
"As an organization, we are strongly committed to a very transparent football ecosystem, which is the best way to restore confidence in our sponsors and investors," he said.

Asked about having artistes perform the super six, he said, "Yes, I think one or two things like that are on, but I am more concerned about the technical aspect of it.
Matchday one Fixtures
The Super Six will kick off on Saturday at the 1,000-seat Mobolaji Johnson Arena with the opening game between eight-time champions Enyimba and Remo Stars at 2 p.m.
The second game of the day will be between Sunshine Stars of Akure and the defending champions, Rivers United at 4 p.m. while Bendel Insurance will lock horns with Lobi Stars in the last game of the day by 6 p.m.
