New Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike has reflected on his less-than-successful stint at Paris Saint-Germain.

He joined the Parisian giants from Reims just as he turned 20, but managed only 33 appearances and four goals before being sent on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt after a season and a half.

PSG subsequently sold him to the German club for €31.5 million. This summer, Liverpool acquired him for more than three times that amount, at €95 million.

Ekitike has revealed the ordeal he had during his playing days at PSG after joining the French gaints at a young age.

“I can’t say everything at PSG was a pleasure. But it was a stage in my career where I learned a lot.

"I became a more experienced player,” the forward told Téléfoot, looking back on his time there, as reported by Sportal.

The stiker has started the season on a high, having scored his first goal in the Community shield and went on to score in his first two Premier League games.
