Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has fired at Paris Saint-Germain for their attempt to poach Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The 23-year-old joined the Naples-based club at the start of the 2022/23 season and, alongside Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, led the Partenopei to a historic Scudetto.
This shot the Georgian's profile through a meteoric rise, high enough for the slight dip last season to barely impact interest from suitors.
PSG’s interest and Napoli's stance
The French champions are keen on signing the former Dinamo Batumi winger and according to the player's agent, Mamuka Jugeli, the Parisians have tabled a contractual offer which they find favourable.
However, Napoli are not interested in parting ways with him and has repeatedly reiterated their unwillingness to negotiate his exit.
Antonio Conte echoed those sentiments in his interview today, and Aurelio de Laurentiis, the president of the club, fired angrily at PSG for what he deemed unethical poaching.
What Laurentiis said
Speaking today, Laurentiis swiped at PSG and Nasser Al-Khelaifi who head the European Club Association, stating that their approach to Kvaratskhelia was illegal.
“There are clubs that make proposals to players with no authorisation from the club, it’s illegal,” he said, per Fabrizio.

As Pulse Sports reported Di Laurentiis travelled to Paris to convince PSG to back off from their pursuit of Kvaratskhelia, as well as convince them to make a move for Osimhen.
