Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski reflected on his 42-goal haul across all competitions this season.

When asked about potential successors, the 36-year-old admitted finding a player to match his consistency would be "not easy," suggesting even top talents like Erling Haaland and Viktor Gyokeres might struggle to replicate his output at the Catalan giants.

Lewandowski emphasised the importance of finding a well-rounded forward who fits Barcelona's system: "I haven't seen many players consistently perform at their best for more than two or three years and score more than 40 goals.

"That's why it's not easy. I'm talking about a player who hasn't just made a mark in one or two seasons but in three, four, five, and more. And that's not easy."

When asked specifically about Haaland or Gyokeres as potential replacements, he responded: “The club has players in other positions, but ultimately, the signing needs to be a perfect solution for the club, the coach, and the system. Finding a goal-scoring striker isn't easy in football these days.”

At 36, Lewandowski finished as Barcelona's top scorer for the third consecutive season, matching some of his best tallies from his Bayern Munich days. The Spanish champions notably won all four Clasicos this season, including a resounding 4-0 victory at the Bernabeu.

Currently on holiday, Lewandowski confirmed his physical and mental readiness for at least another season at the top level, hinting that this might be his last year in Barcelona colors.
