Jalen Hurts extends with Philadelphia Eagles

According to NFL expert Ian Rapoport, this is the first time the Philadelphia Eagles have included a no-trade clause in their contract, which shows their confidence in the 24-year-old.

Including the final year of his rookie contract, the Eagles quarterback could receive just over 274 million dollars in incentives through 2028, including just over 4 million for his final season.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie spoke glowingly of Hurt at the NFL's annual league meeting last month. He complimented his star quarterback on his dedication to improving every day and working on his craft.

"I'm not telling you anything you don't know here, but seeing him virtually every day, he's got an incredible passion for being phenomenal," Lurie said.

"You see that in the great ones. We all know in other sports and with certain quarterbacks in this league, you can define them by their obsession with detail and work ethic."

Hurts, 24, is coming off an excellent third season in which he led the Eagles to an NFC title before losing to Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City in the Super Bowl.
