Jayson Tatum sets new record as Boston Celtics knockout Joel Embiid's Philadelphia 76ers
In Game 7, Jayson Tatum completely dominated for the Boston Celtics as they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers and league MVP Joel Embiid to win the series.
The Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will now be played, and the victor of that series will play either the Los Angeles Lakers or Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.
Although Tatum's shooting has fluctuated throughout the playoffs, he has persevered and turned up a historic Game 7 effort.
Tatum endured despite having a difficult time in Game 6 and produced a strong last quarter to force this Game 7 that he ultimately won.

Tatum shines for Celtics against 76ers
Tatum led the Celtics to a 112-88 victory and a trip to the Eastern Conference finals with 51 points, the highest ever in an NBA Game 7.
Stephen Curry's 50-point performance in Game 7 of the Golden State Warriors first-round series against the Sacramento Kings two weeks prior set the previous mark, which Tatum shattered.
Tatum became the sixth player in NBA history with at least 50-10-5 in a playoff game after shooting 17 of 28 from the floor, adding 13 rebounds and five assists.
For the second straight year and the sixth time in the previous seven, the Celtics made it to the conference finals.
On Wednesday night, they will host the Miami Heat in Game 1.
