Joel Embiid: Cameroon star ignores 'Hakimi warning' to marry model Anna de Paula

Cameroonian professional basketball player Joel Hans Embiid is back on the social media trends.

The 2022/23 NBA MVP for the Philadelphia 76ers is finally a married man.

Embiid's wedding has come to pass as if we didn't already have enough clues. 

On Saturday, Embiid married his longtime partner, Sports Illustrated model Anna de Paula.

A photo of Embiid and several Sixers teammates appeared online after the event.

Other senior officials from the company, including Sixers GM Daryl Morey, attended the wedding.

Embiid is known to be a Real Madrid fan based on his tweets on social media.

Embiid decided to get married, following the highly speculated fallout between former Real Madrid star Achraf Hakimi and his partner.

According to Marca, 76ers star James Harden did not attend the wedding.

NBA stars at the wedding include Georges Niang, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, and De'Anthony Melton.

The fact that the GM was attending the wedding may have contributed to Harden's decision to ignore the wedding, as he had already submitted a trade request.

Given that Embiid recently declared he wanted to keep working with Harden, it's a little surprise his co-star did not attend.
