Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has firmly dismissed reports linking Nigeria international forward Victor Osimhen with a move to the Turin-based club.
The denial comes amidst persistent speculation in Italian media suggesting the Bianconeri were keen on acquiring the Napoli striker, who is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.
Despite reports of Juventus being in the market for a new striker following a less-than-stellar season both domestically and in European competitions, Giuntoli, who was instrumental in bringing Osimhen to Napoli from Lille during his time as their sporting director, has unequivocally stated there is no interest from Juventus in the player.
Speaking to Derin Football, Giuntoli addressed the swirling rumours head-on.
“I’m not interested in Osimhen. The rumours that you read in the Italian media are only to put pressure on us. Juventus does not want the player.,” he said via Msports.
Osimhen is widely expected to leave Napoli permanently this summer, with a reported €75 million release clause in his contract attracting attention from several top European clubs.
