Kampala Police arrest 'Manchester United' fans over theft of National IDs, Cash
Uganda Police in Kampala have arrested two Manchester United fans who broke into a company office and stole 104 national identity cards and four million shillings.
The suspects, clad in Manchester United kits, broke into T.M.K Loans Service and took the IDs that people had deposited as collateral and the cash.
"It is alleged that on the 03 Sept 23 at around 7:30 pm, one Kwikiriza Evans, 22 years a resident of Katuga East, Mitanda parish, Kiwunga sub county Ntugamo district stole 104 national identity cards from the safe and four million which he had collected since he was a loans officer at T.M.K loans service in Kanaba-Ndejje Busabala road," a police statement confirmed.

"The theft was planned by two people, Kwikiriza Evans and Rubogo Sam, who was also a former worker in the same company."
"The suspect (Kwikiriza) was arrested after a tip-off and flying squad of Kampala Metropolitan police East started following the suspect up to Kanungu-Kihihi where he was arrested with the exhibit in his travel bag," Police added.
The duo, currently detained at Jinja Road Police Station, have painted a miserable picture for Manchester United, less than a week after suffering a 3-1 defeat to bitter rivals Arsenal.
