Both sides looked equally poised with both sharing possession in the first half just before Gaddafi grabbed the lead in the 34th minute through Thomas Ochungo.

Gaddafi won a corner kick, which was quickly taken by Sharif Ssengendo, setting up Ibrahim Kiyemba for an inviting cross that found Ochungo in the right place for a header.

Kitara's coach Brian Ssenyondo made some adjustments after the break pulling out Paul Mucureezi and Brian Aheebwa for Frank 'Zaga' Tumwesigye and Kabon Livin.

The changes brought in more creativity and life into the visitor's attacking line, yielding results 13 minutes into the second period.

Kabon played a one-two with Zaga, slalomed through a forest of red shirts, then dinked over an advancing Kenneth Magada in Gaddafi’s goal.

Striker Denis Omedi rushed through to ensure the ball crossed the line with his second goal of the season.

The visitor's gained the lead with 15 minutes remaining on the clock through George Senkaaba, who connected in a Solomon Okwalinga's cross.

The result means that Kitara temporarily takes the lead in the Uganda Premier League table with nine points as Gaddafi stay in the bottom pack for the third game without a point.
