Landmark appearance for Wanyama in Montreal win over Sporting Kansas
It was a moment to remember for former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama as he made his 100th appearance for CF Montreal in their 2-0 win over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
Bryce Duke and Mathieu Choiniere scored first-half goals to lead CF Montreal to a 2-0 Major League Soccer victory over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night.

Duke gave Montreal (3-6-0) a 1-0 lead, using assists from Choiniere and Sean Rea to score in the 35th minute.
Choiniere added a goal in the first minute of stoppage time — with assists from Aaron Herrera and Rea — to put Montreal up 2-0 at halftime.
Wanyama, who had joined Montreal from Tottenham Hotspur, was a free agent after his contract with the club ended at the close of the last MLS season, and had said he was unsure of whether he would renew or not.
There were growing rumors over his next station, with some suggesting a return to his former club Celtic, but he opted to stay put at the Canadian club, signing a contract for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The former Scottish Premier League young player of the year has been in fair form for Montreal Impact this season, making 2.4 tackles and interceptions per game and recording an 82%pass accuracy.
