Leverkusen icon Boniface reveals Osimhen's prophetic call after historic Bundesliga glory

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has taken to social media to celebrate Bayer Leverkusen's historic Bundesliga title triumph, revealing a touching exchange with compatriot Victor Osimhen.

Leverkusen secured their first-ever Bundesliga championship on Sunday with a dominant 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen, with Boniface playing a starring role.

"Last year after Napoli won the league Victor Osimhen called me, baba say next year (2024) na your turn, say more celebration dey front. Respect baba," Boniface wrote.

Osimhen, the reigning African Footballer of the Year, played a pivotal role in Napoli's Serie A title triumph last season, scoring 26 goals to finish as the league's top scorer. 

It appears the 25-year-old had predicted Boniface's success with Leverkusen, showcasing the strong bond between the two Nigerian stars.
