Lionel Messi has sent Barcelona fans into a frenzy following his latest ink in what is believed to be a huge transfer hint.

Paris Saint Germain currently suspended the 35-year-old Argentine for 2 weeks following an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia on ambassadorial duties.

Messi whose future at the Parc de Princes looks to be over is currently the subject of interest from clubs like Barcelona, Al Hilal and even Inter Miami.

The 2022 World Cup champion has reportedly decided against renewing his contract with PSG and is understood to be prioritizing a return to where he rose to super stardom - Barcelona.

This week, photos showing Argentine star Lionel Messi with his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and their children in Saudi Arabia revealed that the PSG player has a new tattoo on his left leg. 

The tattoo is identified as the club crest of FC Barcelona.

And fans have been quick to conclude that the La Pulga is definitely heading back to Catalonia as soon his current contract runs out in June.

However, it is understood that Leo Messi’s new Barca tattoo was not a last-minute thought to send a hint on his transfer plans.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reports that Messi’s new ink is another example of his loyalty toward Barcelona as well as his appreciation for what the club has done for him throughout his career.

The report adds that Messi had planned the tattoo some time ago, and he has been adding parts of it over time. 

Fans noticed him without socks while wearing shorts on his recent trip to Saudi Arabia, and spotted the tattoo.
