List of social media followers amongst FKFPL clubs revealed as AFC Leopards prevail over Gor Mahia

The list of social media followers amongst FKF Premier League clubs has now been released, and it is fair to say that it gives a good picture of where these clubs stand as far as having fans is concerned.

Digital media platform Game ni 90 was able to sit down and conduct its research before drafting the following of all the clubs.

They compiled their report based on five social media platforms : Facebook, X (formerly- Twitter), Instagram, YouTube and Tik Tok.

While Gor Mahia have proven to be the premier club in the Premier League especially since 2010, having won eight league titles, totalling to 20 (could soon be 21 by the end of the 2023/2024 season), their social media presence is shockingly near the relegation places, with slightly over 45,000 followers.

However, that could be understandable considering the side had to employ a social media team following the lifting of the ban on Kenyan football.

Coast-based side Bandari and Murang’a Seal, whose social media team has created a reputation for being cheeky, are in decent places in the table, while Muhoroni Youth languish rock bottom of the table with less than 5000 followers.

AFC Leopards could indeed be vindicated  as the club with the highest following, as they top the charts for Social media presence, totalling  362 540 followers.
