According to reports, Liverpool are considering making a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool are on the verge of losing their star player Mohamed Salah in January due to intense interest from Saudi Arabia.

A few days before the transfer deadline, Al-Ittihad submitted a last-minute £150 million offer for the Egyptian.

However, Liverpool rejected the offer and resisted the last-minute pressure to part ways with their top player.

They are now looking at the possibility of losing the Egyptian and have identified the Dortmund winger Malen as Salah's replacement.

Liverpool monitoring Malen 

According to reports from the Sun, Liverpool are preparing themselves for another huge bid in January for Mohamed Salah.

In case Salah decides to leave, Jürgen Klopp has identified a prospective replacement for his star player.

According to Sport Bild, the Liverpool boss praised Borussia Dortmund winger Malen after impressing this season.

Malen's current deal expires in June 2026 and his Bundesliga clubs are asking for at least £52 million to sign him.

Meanwhile, The Dutchman has prior English experience from his time at Arsenal after joining the youth structure of the club in 2015, where he remained for two years before being sold to PSV Eindhoven.

Before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2021, Malen had 116 games for PSV during which he scored 55 goals and contributed 24 assists.

Since his move to Borussia Dortmund, he has scored 23 goals in 80 games for them in all competitions.
