Luton born Nigerian boxer Linus Udofia celebrates promotion to Premier League
British professional boxer of Nigerian descent, Linus Udofia, has celebrated the promotion of Luton Town to the Premier League.
The boxer was present at Wembley Stadium as Luton Town defeated Coventry City 6-5 on penalties to seal promotion to the Premier League on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Linus Udofia, born in Luton, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, was in a celebratory mood following the promotion of his home based team.
He took to his official social media platforms to show his celebration of the accomplishment.
Along the photos was a message that said, "@LutonTown in the f**king premier league 🧡🧡🧡😍😍😍🏆 🏆🏆."
Ufodia was not the only Nigerian in a celebratory mood for Luton Town's Premier League celebration.
Elijah Adebayo, Gabriel Osho, and Fred Onyedinma, three Super Eagles of Nigeria eligible players, enabled Luton Town to achieve their first-ever promotion to the Premier League.
For the Bedfordshire-based team, Adebayo and Osho started the match, while Onyedinma came on as a replacement in the 84th minute.
Udofia was set to take on Kieran Conway as a final eliminator for the British middleweight title, but his opponent got injured.
He is expected to return to the ring before the end of the year.
