Manchester City have announced a 10-year extension to their current kit deal with Puma, with reports suggesting the new agreement is worth a staggering £1 billion.

The club will receive £100 million annually over the next decade. The previous deal, signed in 2019, was worth £65 million per season, but City's recent success and continued growth have led to a significant increase and renegotiation.

The new contract, which runs until the summer of 2035, becomes the largest sponsorship deal in the Premier League.

The Sun newspaper goes further, claiming the deal is a record-breaker in world football, surpassing Real Madrid's £950 million agreement with Adidas.

By comparison, cross-town rivals Manchester United earn around £90 million annually from their Adidas deal, renewed two years ago.

Over the past six seasons, Manchester City have won four Premier League titles, including a historic treble two seasons ago, and together with Puma, have achieved record global sales.

Furthermore, the Citizens announced record revenues in the top flight of English football last year, earning £715 million.
