Man United owner meets with Thomas Tuchel as Ten Hag's position hangs in the balance

Tuchel was recently let go by Bayern Munich following a disappointing campaign that saw them fail to win any trophy.

With Erik Ten Hag still waiting to discover his fate after winning the FA Cup, Man United have made moves for a possible replacement.

Following a tumultuous campaign for the Dutchman, Man United will announce Ten Hag's future in the coming days.

According to the Sun, Tuchel and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have met in the past few weeks; the most recent one was held last week in Monaco.

Tuchel is one candidate linked to the position, and discussions of taking up the managerial position have been discussed. 

Man United are yet to announce the departure of Ten Hag and are still conducting a review of the season before making any public announcements.

Ten Hag guided Manchester United to the FA Cup trophy last month with a stunning 2-1 victory against fierce rivals Man City.

However, the Red Devils' season was largely dismal, as they exited the Champions League in the group stages and finished eighth in the Premier League.

There have been a lot of reports about Ten Hag's possible replacements at Old Trafford, with Tuchel looking like a possible alternative.

Manchester United are also considering multiple candidates for the position and have been linked with Mauricio Pochettino and Graham Potter in recent weeks.
