Manchester City are preparing to make a move for Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich and will ask the Bundesliga giants if they are interested in a swap deal with Joao Cancelo included.
Man City to move for Joshua Kimmich
According to Mirror Football, Pep Guardiola is an admirer of Kimmich and with the uncertainty surrounding Ilkay Gundogan's City future, the 28-year-old Germany international would be an ideal replacement.
Cancelo joined Bayern on loan in January but the Bavarians are not willing to pay the £60 million it will cost them to make the full-back’s move permanent.
In response to dressing room unrest following the World Cup, Guardiola has indicated he will not consider bringing back the Portuguese defender.
