Manchester United midfielder drops transfer hint, plans talks with Erik Ten Hag
The Brazilian international Fred stated he is unsure if he will stay at United for the upcoming campaign despite having one year left on his contract.
The Red Devils signed Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk for a sum of £52 million in 2018 and has been at the club for five years.
However, he made just 12 Premier League appearances for United and is considering a move for more game time.
Fred not sure about his future
Manchester United midfielder Fred has found his playing time limited at Old Trafford but is still not sure of what his future holds at the club.
According to the Mirror, Fred, who played in United’s 2-1 defeat to Man City, was asked about his future and said “I still don't know, I have to talk with my family.
“I still have one year left on my contract here. Now it's holiday time and a good opportunity to rest. I'll talk to my staff, to the club and see what everyone's decision is.
"I do have to talk with Ten Hag as well. He's the manager and the conversation has to involve everyone. We have to see how next season will plan out.
“I want to be important, I want to help the team, so we'll see. But I've always been and still am very happy at Manchester United.
"Of course I always want to be playing, to be helping my team, and gladly I started the final and I think we played well.”
Fred criticised by Man United’s legend
Roy Keane, a former United captain, blamed Fred for his part in Manchester City's victory at Wembley after he fouled Kevin de Bruyne close to the goal line.
Speaking to ITV Football, Keane said, "Fred had Kevin de Bruyne where he wants him. De Bruyne has his back to goal and then Fred fouls him. It’s the height of stupidity. But we’ve seen that from him so many times over the years."
Fulham are interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder who was seen talking to boss Marco Silva at Old Trafford following the final Premier League match of the year.
