Manchester United Women have suffered a first defeat in five matches after a narrow 2-1 loss to rivals Liverpool Women in the Women’s Super League.
Taylor Hinds was the heroine for the visitors who came from behind to seal the win at Leigh Sports Village Stadium, Greater Manchester.

The defeat to Liverpool could be the start of what would be a long day for everyone associated with the Red Devils, with the men's teams to face off later in the day at Anfield.
United women kicked off on the front foot when Ella Toone fired them in front after just three minutes.
However, an own goal from Millie Turner saw Liverpool equalise just after the half-hour mark, with nothing to separate the teams at the break.
The second half was keenly contested by both teams until the 68th minute when Hinds tucked home after a goal-mouth scramble.
Liverpool held on for a famous win that surely sets the mood for the day ahead of the big clash at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp’s top-of-the-Premier League side hosts arch-rivals United and their underfire manager, Erik Ten Hag.
The result sees Liverpool close the gap between them and United, with both teams now tied on 18 points, but the Red Devils remain fourth thanks to a superior goal difference.
