Moraa started off at a slow pace and could not keep up with the momentum as she trailed behind until she crossed the finish line in 50.48. With the absence of the 400m Hurdles, world record holder Sydney McLaughlin, Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek carried the day after she won the race in 49.63.

Following closely was USA’s Shamer Little who clocked a Personal Best time of 49.68 as Netherlands Lieke Klaver sealed the podium in 49.99.

Moraa was lining up as one of the pre-race favourites but she failed to live up to the billing. She opened her outdoor season with a dominant win in the 400m at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix and this marks her first loss since the season started.

However, she remains unbeaten over the two-lap race and she will be keen to maintain the hot streak as she heads to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She opened her Diamond League campaign in the 800m at the Meeting in Rabat, Morocco where she reigned dominantly.

She then proceeded to the Meetings in Lausanne and Silesia where she also reigned supreme. Her current 800m form promises fireworks as she heads to the global showpiece.
