Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga seemed to be answering back at his critics following Kenya’s embarrassing 8-0 loss to Senegal on Tuesday.

Olunga is among the star players who were not called up to the squad for the November friendly games as coach Benni McCarthy looks to test different talents.

It looks like it was a great decision as it got him out of the firing line, starting with the 1-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea last Friday before the carnage against Senegal.

Olunga has come under heavy criticism when he dons the national team jersey with some calling for his exclusion and after Kenya lost heavily, he had a series of social media posts that looked aimed at the tribulations of the national team.

What Did Olunga Post Online?

Immediately after the thorough beating, Olunga posted on his Facebook story a photo of him in a desert safari which was accompanied by Bien’s hit song “All My Enemies Are Suffering” which appeared to be a sly dig at his critics.

The Harambee Stars skipper then added another post with the caption “First Class,” accompanying it with Jack Harlow's “First Class” song.

During the game, Harambee Stars conceded four goals inside 17 minutes, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice in between El Hadji Malick Diouf’s goal, before Sadio Mane netted a hat-trick for a 6-0 lead at halftime.

Ibrahim Mbaye and Cherif Ndiaye scored in the second half to complete the rout as Kenya suffered their second worst defeat since losing 13-1 to Ghana in 1965.

Olunga will be hoping to return to the national team during the next international window in March 2026.
