Former Chelsea midfielder and Nigerian football icon John Obi-Mikel has once again ignited speculation about Victor Osimhen’s future.

In a viral video, Mikel has stated that the Galatasaray and Nigeria striker desires to join Chelsea Football Club.

This revelation was shared during a recent interview when Mikel was a guest on Skysports.

Mikel spent over a decade at Chelsea from 2006 to 2017, earning three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, and a Champions League trophy.

His comments come at a time when Chelsea, under the ownership of Todd Boehly, are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options to elevate their Premier League title aspirations.

He said, “I know exactly where we stopped. If we have to pick it up again in the summer, it’s just pretty easy to get it done because the player really wants to come to the football club.”

Chelsea had sold Romelu Lukaku to Napoli and appeared poised to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge, but the deal collapsed, leading Osimhen to join Galatasaray on loan instead.
