Fisher, the 2024 Paris Olympic bronze medalist in the 5000m and 10000m, blazed to victory in the 3000m, setting a new world record of 7:22.91.

He eclipsed the previous mark of 7:23.81, set by Ethiopia's Lamecha Girma in 2023.

The race was a thrilling duel between Fisher and 1500m Olympic champion Cole Hocker, with the two Americans pushing each other throughout.

Fisher surged past Hocker on the final turn to claim victory, while Hocker also dipped under Girma’s previous record, finishing in 7:23.14.

At the same event, Yared Nuguse also etched his name in the record books by winning the Wanamaker Mile in a world-record time of 3:46.63.

The 25-year-old shattered the previous record of 3:47.01, set by Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha nearly six years ago.

Like Fisher, Nuguse needed a strong finishing kick to hold off fellow American Hobbs Kessler, who clocked 3:46.90—another time faster than Kejelcha’s former record.

In the women’s 60m hurdles, Olympic champion Masai Russell continued her dominance with a commanding victory.

She clocked a world-leading 7.76 seconds to edge out compatriot Grace Stark, who finished second in 7.82.

Russell’s win at the Milrose Games followed another impressive performance at the New Balance Grand Prix, where she triumphed with a time of 7.80 seconds, narrowly defeating Stark (7.81) once again.
