I want to win it - Mo Salah desperate to win AFCON title after years of heartbreak
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has revealed his burning desire to finally get his hands on the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, trophy.
Pulse Sports reports that Mo Salah has endured AFCON heartbreaks in the past with the Pharaohs, coming close to the title on two occasions.

The Liverpool forward lost the 2017 final to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon before coming short again four years later to the Teranga Lions of Senegal led by former teammate Sadio Mane.
But speaking ahead of the 34th edition of the AFCON, the Premier League legend has laid bare his desperation to go one better this time in Cote d’Ivoire.
"I want to win this competition having come so close twice," Salah stated according to a report on CAFOnline.
The 31-year-old remains the talisman and centre of attraction for the Pharaohs when the competition gets underway this weekend.
Salah’s Egypt is Africa’s most successful team in the tournament, with seven titles won.
Liverpool Salah will once again lead and captain his side to the competition in Ivory Coast hoping to finally get his hands on a silverware with his country.
Egypt faces Mozambique, Ghana and Cape Verde and kicks off their journey against Mozambique on Sunday.
