Nigerians, Super Eagles and Super Falcons, stars, were on full display at the weekend, with Premier League-based star Alex Iwobi leading the group as monitored by Naija Stars Abroad.

Iwobi was the main man as Fulham proved too strong for Brentford at Craven Cottage. The playmaker delivered a goal and assist for the man of the match award alongside compatriot Calvin Bassey, who was brilliant but denied a clean sheet. Samuel Chukwueze, however, watched from the bench.

But for Toluwase Arokodare, his second game in the Premier League ended in disappointment as Wolves lost for the fifth time in a row, while fellow summer signing, Christantus Uche, watched from the bench as Crystal Palace piled the pressure on West Ham’s Graham Potter with an away win.

In nearby Scotland, senior man Kelechi Iheanacho was heavily involved in Celtic’s emphatic 4-0 cup win. Iheanacho assisted one of the goals to take his tally to two goal contributions in two matches.

African champions Esther Okoronkwo and Asisat Oshoala continued their fine form for AFC Toronto and Al-Hilal with a goal a piece respectively.

Turkey is really Paul Onuachu’s safe haven after the giant striker saved his team Trabzonspor from defeat with a fantastic equaliser at the weekend against Gaziantep. He has now scored three goals this season.

Another Nigerian in Turkey who was on the score sheet is the one-cap Super Eagles midfielder Olawoyin Ibrahim. Olawoyin with his first league goal of the season for Rizespor while Cyriel Dessers made it two in two matches for Panathinaikos.

In Italy’s Serie A, it was all positve news as Africa’s Player of the Year Ademola Lookman returned to action for Atalanta after his summer transfer saga while Gift Orban put on a show for Hellas Verona against giants Juventus and scored his first-ever goal for the club.

Victor Boniface endured a day to forget with Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on the occasion of his second game for his new club. He came off the bench to feature in a 3-0 defeat at home.

Terem Moffi was the star in France but his goal was not enough to save Nice from Brest following a heavy defeat, with Moses Simon suffering a 3-2 defeat as well to Strasbourg with Paris FC.
