Napoli eyeing AC Milan’s Stefano Pioli as potential managerial solution

Serie A champions Napoli are setting their sights on Stefano Pioli as a potential managerial recruit for the upcoming season, aiming to rejuvenate their campaign after a tumultuous spell marked by managerial upheaval.

The season has been rife with challenges for Napoli, particularly in the managerial department, with two different managers struggling to replicate the success of the previous campaign. 

With Walter Mazzarri's contract set to expire at the end of the season, the club is actively seeking a new leader to helm their ship.

According to reports from Il Mattino via CalcioNapoli24, Napoli's pursuit of a new manager has brought Stefano Pioli into the spotlight. 

While Antonio Conte remains a dream target for Aurelio de Laurentiis, Pioli has garnered significant interest from the Partenopei CEO. 

De Laurentiis is said to be particularly impressed by Pioli's adaptability, pragmatism, and his adeptness at managing against formidable opposition.

Joining Pioli in the managerial race are two other esteemed Italians: Vincenzo Italiano of Fiorentina and Gian Piero Gasperini of Atalanta. Italiano, currently at the helm of La Viola, was previously linked with Napoli last summer but opted to remain with his club, rejecting the Serie A champions.
