The Nigeria Super Eagles striker also became the first-ever African striker to win the Serie A Striker of the Season award in the league’s 125 years history.
Now, following that excellent campaign, he was presented with a personalised ball and shift by FIFA through FIFA director members association’s Gelson Fernandes.
Fernandes presented the gifts to the Nigerian superstar after their final game of the season in Naples in the company of the NFF President.
“Victor Osimhen, you represent at the moment what football can do,” Fernandes said.
“From Lagos to Napoli where people love you, you have suffered but your love for football and determination have guided you.”
“Keep going, keep pushing. Africa needs examples and millions are watching and dreaming,” he added.
